^^ I don't like Miss Grape. As if naman our English department was any good, very narrow minded pa.

I think it's time that Bene have their own forum here.

it seems that ngayun, para all is getting along very well. pero why does it seems that we are strangers pa din. sana nuon pa ganito na. it feels good na we can share what we have and what we can offer.

^^ typo error

" it seems that ngayun, parang all is getting along very well, pero why does it seem that we are strangers pa din? sana nuon pa ganito na. it feels good na we can share what we have and what we can offer.

strangers? Well it happens. In my case kasi alam ko ang ugali ng taga-Bene kaya apprehensive ako. When we see people na naka uniform ng Bene parang dating samin, "eeeh stay away" or "maarte nanaman yan." hehehe But since some of you guys are warming up then we should return the gesture. I wish a lot of Bene peeps are like you guys. Alam mo naman culture ng Bene before... aside from being apathetic, we love dissing the school when we were there. After HS graduation, mga friends ko hilig humirit, "Yack Bene!!!!" hehehe But with all the changes, then it's about time that this hatred will die away.

True..  Habang tumatagal kasi nag eevolve din yung mga ugali ng mga bene students.. lalong nagiging critics, mayabang & out of the line yung ugali.. even I admit na I've done a lot of dissing during my time in bene.. especially pag may game kami against zobel.. its kinda awful & childish when i think about it now..hehe

Bene is in the verge of evolving to its maturity... Sana we all get along na tlga..

^ Si Sir Gavazan??? Hell yeah hehehe 4th year teacher namin yun. hehehe Napasaya last year namin sa HS because of him. hehehe Saya saya ang subject na yun... kakahiya I just forgot what subject it was. hehehe

si Mampang? Never... prefect lang namin. buhay pa ba yun? hehehe
ano batch mo ba sa Bene? At least you understand my drift? In Bene, we have this love hate relationship with the school. We're rather apathetic and we are so thankful we're finally out of there. People there have "unity" issues. Daming inggitan, intrigahan... sa Beda ako nagkaroon ng peace of mind. seriously

Ok dito ah, i still remember some of the professors mentioned. Mrs. Grape was my third year english teacher in highschool. In fact, her daughter was my batchmate in Bene High.

Mr Mampang was a professor in college? He was Prefect of Students during our time. Medyo magulo nun, there was a fraternity witchhunt then, Bene was kicking out frat members and he was leading the questioning of suspected members and squealers. There were incidents of calculator snatching then, then forcible opening of lockers. I suppose wala ng ganyan ngayon, baka stolen or lost cellphones naman.

The infamous Haircut Day ni Mampang during assembly. Even I fell victim to him hehehe I don't think it can still happen now... the long hair look is so 90's na. hehehe It's either short hair ka or semical na. Much to the jubilation of the Prefect i guess.

Oh yeah speaking of Prefect, I remember Miss De Castro, Mr. Mampang's sidekick sa prefect and the secretary there died a few years ago ah.

Ah, haircut day. Mr. Mampang's suggested haircut then was the flat top!! Gusto kaming lahat mukhang militar. I think ang uso nun, undercut, long bangs but bald each side of the head. Ang daming rules, like even black topsider shoes were not allowed. Gusto ata kung fu shoes!!

The asst prefect during our time was Mr. Quiambao, although i don't know what happened to him whether he stayed in the high school department or moved to the college dept.

Speakin of Ms. Grape, naging prof ko yun last sem (EN 12n Comm. Skills 2) at ngayon sem(EN 13n Speech Comm.), nakakainis sya last sem... Grrr...

When the semester ends, 14 students na lang kaming natira sa kanyang class, from the original 35. At sa natirang 14 na yun, di pa lahat pinasa!

Did you know guys, nagkaroon ng signature campaign againts Ms. grape last sem? binigyan lang cya ng isa pang pagkakataon ngayon. Kaya kung prof mo cya ngayon, medyo comfortable na, but still, never cyang nagbibigay ng considerations... Grrr....

^ as i said. She was never a good educator; full of hot air pa. And I suggest you continue on with the signature campaign. If you get to read Harry Potter she reminds me of an equally annoying character sa book, Professor Umbridge. hehehe

To all bene-CAS students! The Bedan Herald Vol 11, Issue 1-2, june and july issue will be released by next week! watch out!

The Memento Vivere, the official literary magazine of The Bedan Herald is in need if poems, short stories and essays for the 2nd issue this sem... We are proposing an interactive literary cd, that you can view in your PC, instead of the traditional magazine style. Please submit your contributions at the Publications Office(The Bedan Herald) Room 302, inside the OSA Complex/Students Center, St. Bede Hall.

Thanks!

Correct.  Yikes. Generation gap.

During the early 90's kase, the prevailing music scene was grundge, alternative rock and heavy metal with some sprinkling of punk.  Well, our classmates who came from Bene (7 of them in our class of 30) were mostly Pop Jazz/easy music listeners. Kenny G, Basia, Lisa Stansifield, Side-A and even the Neocolours.  Well call them Jazzers or Alabangers (San Beda Alabang combined with headbangers)...hehe..
